Help!
The biggest basalt column in the Ash Garden is sinking,
and we are fundraising to raise it up!
Do you remember fifteen years ago when the Ash Garden was created? Thanks to a generous donor, we installed three basalt columns on which the names of loved ones can be engraved.
Now the heaviest basalt column is almost a foot lower! It needs to be set upon a wide rock slab so it won’t slowly disappear into the earth over time, like an ancient civilization.
The estimated cost of $4600 will pay to lift up the column, purchase and install the rock slab, and then set the column securely on the rock slab. In this way, we will preserve the memories etched into the stone.
